SEBAGO — The Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake will present Mike Harris performing his one-man show, “My Mother, My Father and My Mother,” on Friday and Saturday, March 18-19.

A humorist, storyteller and entertainer, Harris has performed along the East Coast and in Canada for more than a decade. He has spent years collecting anecdotes and humorous stories drawn from his own personal experiences. He finds the humor and heart in everyday situations and mundane occurrences.

“I don’t tell jokes,” he said. “I just tell people what happens and they laugh at me.”

Harris is a member of Toastmasters International and has twice been honored with invitations to speak at the Toastmasters’ Regional Humorous Showcase.

In “My Mother, My Father, and My Mother,” audiences get to see a more introspective side of Harris as he talks about dealing with death, adoption and watching his parents grow older.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. in Schoolhouse’s Blackbox Theater. A requested $5 donation will benefit the Save Our Schoolhouse campaign. Tickets may be reserved by calling 642-3743 or visit www.schoolhousearts.org. Schoolhouse Arts Center is on Route 114, just north of Routes 114 and 35.
