BANGOR — On Saturday, March 12, Girl Scouts will begin selling Girl Scout Cookies at public booth sales statewide. This year, in addition to buying cookies for themselves, customers also have the option of buying packages of cookies to donate to members of the U.S. Armed forces.
Girl Scouts of Maine has partnered with the Maine Air National Guard base in Bangor, where members of the 101st Air Refueling Wing Family Services will deliver donated cookies to U.S. Troops stationed in Maine and around the world.
A Cookie Booth Sale Locator, directing people to sale locations in their community, can be found at www.girlscoutsofmaine.org.
Cookie booth sales are scheduled to take place from March 12 through April 3 and are the public’s last chance to buy cookies until next year. Cookies sell for $3.50 a box and flavors include Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Shortbread, Thanks-A-Lot, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Lemonades, Thin Mints, and a new Belgian-style caramelized cookie, Shout Outs.
