The March 6 Sun Journal article, “Health and Wealth: Analysis reveals hospital perks, quirks and pay,” was interesting, but I am more interested in the quality of care in the medical institutions.
I am happy with the Rumford Hospital, with my wife’s and my own physicians. My wife also had a positive experience at Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute in Lewiston.
However, I can point to questionable and poor medical care in Maine. And, I have been told emphatically by other family’s members (and, yes, some medical professionals), that I must advocate for my wife’s health care within medical institutions.
I hope the Sun Journal will consider investigative articles on the quality of medical care in Maine — the good, the questionable and the poor.
Good health care is the bottom line.
