Seniors vote

RUMFORD — Rumford Senior Citizens will vote for board members from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, March 21. The monthly meeting will be held Wednesday, March 23. The board meets at 10 a.m. followed by the member meeting at 11:30 a.m. and a potluck lunch.

Class of ’50

RUMFORD — The Stephens High School Class of 1950 will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 21, at the River Valley Grill.

Survivor dinner

RUMFORD — The Relay For Life survivor spaghetti supper and event kickoff will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, at the Rumford Eagles Hall.

This is an event to honor alls urvivors, their families and team members.

There is no charge. RSVP is encouraged.

Community networking

RUMFORD — The next community networking meeting sponsored by the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition is scheduled for noon on Wednesday, March 23, at the Rumford Community Home, 11 John F. Kennedy Lane. A light lunch will be provided.

Ellen Gibson, AgrAbility Specialist of Goodwill Workforce Solutions, will cover the history of AgrAbility, why a high percentage of farmers have health issues, how we can help them, where the money is from and how the program works.

Medicare Bingo

NORWAY/RUMFORD — SeniorsPlus will offer Medicare bingo on its mobile office from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at the Norway Town Office, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at the Rumford Community Home.

Participants will experience bingo with a twist and go away with new information on SeniorsPlus services and how to spot and report Medicare fraud.

Reservations are required due to limited space. In the event of snow or ice, the mobile office will cancel its trip. All events are free and open to the public. For reservations, cancellations or more information, call 1-800-427-1241.

Red Hat Mommas

MEXICO — Twenty-seven Red Hat Mommas of Western Maine attended a tea and period fashion show at the Methodist Church.

Louise Horne narrated a fashion show starting with the 1910 era right up to 2011. The models were local talent. A story was read, the teapot exchange was made and February birthdays were recognized.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday, March 24, with a potluck supper at the Mexico Green Church. The price is $7. Please share a recipe for whatever you decide to bring.

Boosters bingo

DIXFIELD — Dirigo Athletic Boosters will hold bingo on Friday, March 25, at the American Legion to benefit Dirigo High School athletes. Doors open at 3 p.m. with the first game at 6 p.m. for the price of $10. Tickets are available at Dirigo High School, Far East Restaurant or from any booster member. WOWS

RUMFORD — Widows or Widowers Sharing will meet at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 25, at the senior citizens hall, Congress Street.

There will be a silent auction and games.
