AUBURN — Rose Gaudette, 79, of Lewiston died Sunday at the Hospice House.

She was born in Boston, Mass., on June 15, 1931, the daughter of Oscar and Leona Beaudry. Rose attended Boston schools and received her GED in Maine. She had worked in area shoe shops in earlier years and was a homemaker most of her life.

She was a literary volunteer and active member of the Catholic faith and enjoyed making beautiful floral arrangements. She was an avid card player and Yankees fan.

She married George Pelletier on June 25, 1949. On Oct. 8, 1977. she married Roger Gaudette, who died Nov. 21, 2009.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy McManus Kuroly and her husband, Michael Kuroly, of Turner; two granddaughters, Breanna McManus and her fiance, Arren Jones, of Portland and Alicia McManus and her fiance, Steve Hunter, of Auburn; and a brother, Jerry Beaudry of South Carolina.
