LEWISTON — Reginald J. “Reg” Breau, 63, of High Street, Rumford, died Saturday, April 23, at the Central Maine Medical Center, with his family by his side.
He was born in Rumford on Feb. 11, 1948, a son of James and Yvette Gaudet Breau, and graduated from Mexico High School, Class of 1968.
Reg worked for Sam Wade as a carpenter and also at Sunday River. He was a member of the Rumford Falls Aerie, 1248, F.O.E. He was an avid birdwatcher and loved his cat, Tara.
He was married in Rumford on Dec. 22, 1989, to the former Holly Poland of Rumford, who survives him. Other survivors include a step-son, Robert Richard Jr., of Brewer; sisters, Jean Boudreau and husband, Ernest, Judy Kennedy and husband, Donald, of Roxbury and Janice Sirois and husband, Marc, of Lewiston; mother-in-law, Eva Poland, of Bethel; sister-in-law, Caroline Conant, and husband, Doug, of Belgrade; brother-in-law, John Poland, of Bethel; and several nieces and nephews
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers Roger and Ronnie Breau; step-son Adam Richard; and step-grandson Nathaniel Richard.
