JAY — A Kingman truck driver was injured early Tuesday when his tractor-trailer loaded with logs veered off Route 4 into a ditch and rolled over onto its passenger side, police Chief Larry White Sr. said.
Driver Albert Raymond, 57, was taken by NorthStar Emergency Medical Services ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, White said.
He was treated at the hospital for minor injuries and released, he said.
The 3:26 a.m. accident occurred in the southbound lane on the north side of Jay Hill, just south of the Jay Transfer Station, he said.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation, White said. The logs spilled out onto the side of a road.
The 2008 Kenworth is registered to Raymond and was a total loss, he said.
Officer Nicholas Gulliver was assisted at the scene by Sgt. Troy Young, and Jay firefighters who assisted with traffic control.
A Maine State Police commercial vehicle unit was also called in to assist in the investigation.
The rollover happened about 25 feet from the last logging truck roll over earlier this month. No one was injured in that accident.
