on fiddle (pictured) are set to kick off the 5th Saturday Norway contra dance series at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, in the Norway Grange. A pre-dance public supper will be provided by the Heywood Club from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Norway Grange on Whitman Street. The menu this month will be lasagna, salad, bread, a variety of layer cakes and coffee. $7 adult and $3 children. Proceeds benefit the club. The dance will be $10 at the door or $32 for the series of four 2011 dances (April 30, July 30, Oct. 29, Dec. 31). Online registration at www.wfltmaine.org. The 5th Saturday Norway contra dance series is sponsored by The Western Foothills Land Trust and Norway Downtown.
