LEWISTON — Yvonne E. Rousseau 90, of Bolster Heights, formerly of Lewiston, died Tues., April 26, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston on July 23, 1920, a daughter of the late Ernest and Yvonne (Chouinard) Pleau. She was educated in Lewiston schools. She married Lucien J. Rousseau November 8, 1947. He predeceased her in 1997.

She worked in the textile industry for many years as a spinner. She was a member of Holy Family Church and ladies of St. Anne.

She leaves 3 sisters, Carmen Veilleux of Auburn, Jacqueline Doucette of Lewiston, and Jeannette Madore and her husband, Clarence, of S.C.; two brothers, Ernest Pleau of Lewiston and Reynold Pleau and his wife, Beatrice, of Lewiston; sister-in-laws Jacqueline Pleau of Poland, Lenora Pleau of Lewiston and Theresa Pleau of Sabattus; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Cecile Pleau; and two brothers, Robert and Roland Pleau.

The family would like to send a very special thank you to the entire staff at Bolster Heights, where she had been a resident for the past 7 years and enjoyed it very much. Also, to the staff on the Telemetry Floor at St. Mary’s and Dr. Miller for the wonderful care given to Yvonne in her last days.
