AUBURN — Yvette L. Latuscha, 81, of Bridge Street, Lewiston, died Thursday, April 28, with her family by her side, at Clover Health Care Facility, following a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston on Sept. 29, 1929, the daughter of Lorenzo and Yvonne Roy Fontaine. She grew up in “Little Canada” of Lewiston and attended St. Mary’s School and was a graduate of Lewiston High School. Her employment began in the local textile industry and more recently, until her retirement, she was employed at General Electric in Auburn.

Yvette loved to knit and sew for family and friends. She also enjoyed camping and spending time with family in the outdoors, fishing at the lake. Her passions were sweets and shopping at Marden’s.

Survivors include three sons, Dana, of Lewiston, Gary and his wife, Marjorie, of New Gloucestor and James, of Clear Lake, Calif.; one daughter, Nancy Latuscha, and her husband, David Jones, of Lewiston; one brother, Robert Fontaine, of Lewiston; two sisters, Rita Beaudoin, of Lewiston and Joan Baril and her husband, Robert, of Bristol, Conn.; four grandchildren, Sarah Dow and husband, Thomas, Joseph Latuscha III and wife, Kelly, Gary Latuscha Jr. and Nicholas Sirois; as well as two great-grandsons, Thomas and Ethan Dow.

Yvette was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Latuscha, who died in 1973; and by one brother, Normand Fontaine.
