CANTON — Ralph and Cathy Newman of Canton are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Lane Newman, to Cory Jean Ouellette, son of Jean and Shirley Ouellette of Jay.

Miss Newman received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Farmington and a master’s degree from Colorado Technical University. She is an IT project manager for Liberty Mutual in Portsmouth, N.H.

Mr. Ouellette attended the University of Maine at Orono and is a Thyratron test technician at Excelitas Technologies in Salem, Mass.

The couple currently resides in Amesbury, Mass. They are planning a June wedding in Auburn.
