DIXFIELD — Little interest has been shown in either of the two open seats up for election in June.

Western Foothills Regional School Unit 10 board member Barbara Chow is running for another three-year term.

There is one seat open on the Board of Selectmen, but no one filed nomination papers by Friday’s deadline. Former Selectman Brad Dyer and Rodney Gammon did take out papers, however.

The town has operated with a four-person board since the death of its longtime chairwoman, Bettina Martin, several months ago.

Town Manager Eugene Skibitsky said that since no one is running for the vacant selectman’s seat, a special nomination process and subsequent election will have to be called in the near future.

Voting for elective seats, as well as for the RSU 10 school budget, is set from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 14 at the American Legion Hall on Main Street.
