AUBURN — Constance V. Girouard, 74, of Sabattus, died on May 3, at the Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Saco, Sept. 28, 1936, the daughter of the late Ralph and Rita (Houle) Polley. Constance was educated in Lewiston schools. On July 11, 1953, she married Roger Girouard, and he died on July 8, 2002. She worked at CMMC as a CNA for 19 years and at Montello Manor for 13 years.

She is survived by four daughters, Debbie and husband, Dave Poisson, of Sabattus, with whom she made her home, Susan Oxendine of Rowland, N.C., Jeannine Stedman of Virginia Beach, Va., and Kelly and husband, Marc Whaler, of Salem, Ala.; three sons, Steven, Brian and companion, Brenda and Shawn and companion, Felicia, all of Lewiston; brother, Norman Polley and wife, Linetta, of Lewiston; brother-in-law, Roland Girouard and his wife, Mary Jane, of Lewiston; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Roger; daughter, Paula; sister, Patricia Polley; brothers, Francis, Richard and Raymond Polley; and one son-in-law, Ricky Oxendine.

Constance’s family would like to extend a warm and grateful thank-you to Dr. Austin and all the wonderful staff at the Hospice House for their excellent care and support they gave to Constance and family members while she was there.
