LISBON FALLS — Lorraine B. Morse, 85, of Lisbon Falls passed away Sunday, May 1, surrounded by her family.

She was born April 22, 1926 to Walter F. and Lena A. Barschdorf. She graduated from Lisbon High School and worked as a telephone operator. On June 30, 1946, she married Dwight G. Morse.

Lorraine enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing, cooking, and visiting with family and friends. She was a very intelligent, generous, and caring person who was greatly loved by her large family beginning with those in her parent’s generation all the way down through four more generations to the newest additions.

In recent years, she volunteered at LACO and missed this very much when her health no longer allowed her to continue. Lorraine was a dear friend to so many people and she will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Morse Brann; grandchildren, Wayne Dunton, Jeffery Brann, Rebecca Kimball, Nathan Morse, Mitchel Morse and Kimberly Morse; a daughter-in-law, Linda Palmer Morse; great-grandchildren, Cory Brann, Shelby Kimball, Lauren Kimball, Jacob Morse and Rachel Morse; along with three stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; now extended by two more generations, who admired and loved her, and will miss her greatly.

Lorraine was predeceased by her parents; her husband in 1981; two sons, George in 1969 and Clifton in 1997; her sister, Iona Berube; and brother, Wallace Barschdorf.
