FARMINGTON — Police are investigating the theft of about 300 feet of copper pipes taken from two vacant homes in the North Chesterville area.
A homeowner visited one of the homes Thursday afternoon and realized the house had been broken into and copper pipes taken. A check of another nearby home revealed a break-in and theft there also.
The 300 feet of copper was the amount taken from both homes located near the Knowlton Corner Road and Lucy Knowles Road area, Rachel Heseltine, Farmington Police Department secretary, said.
Sgt. Michael Adcock is leading the investigation.
