LEWISTON — For the fifth consecutive year, Lewiston will hold a lottery for the pre-K program. The pre-K program is a half-day program that runs Monday through Thursday and will have 16 children in each session. Because of a limited number of spaces in the program, we are unable to accommodate all of the children whose parents have expressed an interest in the program. Students living in the Martel School district attend pre-K at McMahon and students in the Farwell School district will attend pre-K at Montello. To be eligible for the lottery a child’s 4th birthday must be between Oct. 16, 2010 and Oct. 15, 2011.

Registration will take place anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., May 16-20 at your home school. Parents will need their child’s birth certificate, I94 or green card and immunization records. The lotteries will take place May 23 and 25.

Informational meetings will take place as follows:

Monday, May 9, at 6 p.m. at Geiger

Tuesday, May 10, at 6p.m. at McMahon for McMahon and Martel

Wednesday, May 11, at 1:30 p.m. at Longley

Thursday, May 12, at 6 p.m. at Montello for Montello and Farwell
