AUBURN — Three Mechanic Savings Bank employees were recently promoted, according to bank President Rick Vail.

They are Nicole Mailhot, vice president/Private Banking and treasury officer; Terri Cook, vice president/Banking Center manager; and Linette Dehetre, assistant vice president/Banking Center manager.

At the bank since August 2001, Mailhot worked as a teller, customer service representative, branch manager and trainer before becoming a Private Banking and treasury officer. She manages and provides customer support for the bank’s Treasury products and services, including cash management online banking and Sweep Investment Accounts. She also manages the bank’s Web site.

Mailhot is a member of Young Professionals of the Lewiston-Auburn Area (YPLAA). She earned an associate’s degree in business management from the University of Maine at Augusta. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in leadership and organizational studies from the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College, with an anticipated 2011 graduation date.

She trains in ju-jitsu and assists in teaching ju-jitsu to children at the Central Maine Brazilian Ju-jitsu in Auburn, where she lives with her two children.

Cook joined the bank in July 2006 and was a branch manager and loan officer prior to working at the Banking Center. She is a Northern New England Center for Financial Training instructor and is involved in the United Way of Androscoggin County, Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, Lewiston-Auburn Rotary, Relay for Life and YPLAA.

She received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Thomas College in Waterville in 2001.

She resides in Mechanic Falls with her husband.

Dehetre has been with the bank since February 2010, working as Banking Center operations manager for Lewiston and the main office. Prior to that, she was employed for 23 years by Bank of America, where she worked as an assistant manager and personal banker.

She has taken numerous courses through the American Institute of Banking and has received several Bank of America awards.

She is a notary and has served as chairwoman of Project Graduation for Gray-New Gloucester High School and has been involved in the school’s basketball Boosters.

She lives in New Gloucester with her husband and three children.
