NEWRY — The next Down Home Maine program sponsored by the Western Mountains Senior College will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at the Mahoosuc Mountain Lodge. Featured will be Polly Mahoney, Registered Maine Guide and co-owner of Mahoosuc Guide Services. Last year Polly journeyed with a small group to the mysterious and largely inaccessible land of Bhutan. She will share her impressions of this gentle land, which is located on the northeastern border of India.
