MEXICO — The Stephens High School class of 1946 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, at The Covered Wagon.
Orphanage benefit
BETHEL — West Parish Congregational Church, UCC, on Church Street is hosting a slide show and benefit supper for the Kakamega Orphanage in Kenya, Africa. The supper will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 21, in the basement of the church.
The orphanage is sponsored by the Quaker women of Kenya and offers meals, housing and educational opportunities for children. Many of the children had parents who died of AIDS. The slide show is from Maine women who traveled to the orphanage. The suggested donation is $8 for adults and $5 for children.
Turkey dinner
RUMFORD — A turkey dinner will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at the Rumford Grange. The dinner was originally scheduled for May 15. The price for adults is $8 and for children under 12, $4.
Cemetery group
RUMFORD — Rumford Center Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, at the Rumford Center Town Hall.
