FARMINGTON — A Franklin County grand jury has indicted a local man on several charges, including domestic violence stalking related to an April 10 incident in New Vineyard.
Douglas Marble, 33, was also charged with reckless conduct with a weapon, violation of a protection from abuse order, assault and criminal trespassing.
Marble, the administrative assistant to the Kingfield Board of Selectmen, was accused in April of following a man and woman to a house, striking the woman’s vehicle with his own and assaulting the man, Maine State Police Trooper Joshua Birmingham has said.
Marble’s lawyer, David Sanders, said his client has maintained from the beginning that he pulled into a driveway to turn around and did not know his ex-girlfriend was there. As soon as he realized it, he backed out and they started coming after him, Sanders said.
“He’ll plead not guilty to the charges,” Sanders said.
Marble is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday, May 20, at Franklin County Superior Court in Farmington.
