TEMPLE — George and Marie (Toni) Andrews, long-time residents of Temple, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 29. They were married in 1961 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Farmington.
They are proud parents of two children, Kimberly (Steve) Gehlert of Westerville, Ohio, and Russell (Gayle) Andrews of Brunswick. They also have two grandchildren, Ethan and Morgan Andrews of Brunswick.
Mr. Andrews retired as postmaster of the New Sharon Post Office and as fire chief of the Temple Volunteer Fire Department.
Mrs. Andrews formerly worked as clerk to the Franklin County Commissioners and most recently as town clerk for the Town of Temple.
In honor of their golden anniversary, the couple will celebrate with their children and grandchildren during the Memorial Day weekend.
