AUBURN — Cora E. Tremblay, 84, of Auburn slipped away quietly at home with her family by her side on May 16.

Cora was born in Macwahoc, May 11, 1927, the daughter of Thomas and Cora (Blier) Caron.

She was a longtime resident of the Lewiston-Auburn area, where she met her husband, Adrien Tremblay at the Androscoggin Mill. They were married on Oct. 16, 1948, and made their home on Sand Hill Road in Lewiston, where they raised their son, Marcel. Cora was a member of Holy Cross Church and was an avid knitter.

She is survived by her son, Marcel and his wife, Terry, of Auburn; one granddaughter, Andrea Higson and her husband, David, of Auburn; two grandsons, Derek Arthur of Auburn and Matthew Tremblay of Lewiston; one great-grandson, David Higson of Auburn; three sisters, Mary Archibald of Monmouth, Agnes Grimmel of Florida, and Annie Hanson of Turner; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Adrien; five brothers; and five sisters.
