LEWISTON — The Jesus Party Pentecostal Kid’s Church will hold a special gathering at 6 p.m. Friday, May 20, to acknowledge the life and ministry of Jerry DerBoghosian. The event will be held at Jesus Party Headquarters, 291 Bates St., and is open to the community as well as friends of DerBoghosian.
DerBoghosian has served faithfully as the ministry’s patriotic mentor since 1997. His roll as mentor is to provide timeless insight concerning national holidays and patriotic observances. Ministry directors Rev. Doug and Sonia Taylor have created a DVD of pictures set to music of DerBoghosian’s involvement over the years. Attendees are encouraged to share words of kindness and present him a card for his 88th birthday. For more information call 786-5568.
