WILTON — Four candidates will compete for the selectman seat vacated when Irving Faunce resigned last month.
The four who submitted nomination papers by Tuesday’s deadline are Tiffany Maiuri, Kyle Ellis, D. Scott Taylor and Michael Wells, Town Clerk Linda Jellison said.
There are two years left on Faunce’s term, she said.
In other races, board Chairman Terry Brann is being challenged by Steve Smith, and Selectman Paul Gooch faces Paul Berkey Jr.
Both are three-year positions, she said.
Keith Swett is running unopposed for his seat on the RSU 9 board.
Polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 1 at the town office to elect officers and vote on the RSU 9 budget.
They will reconvene at 6:30 p.m. June 6 in the Academy Hill School cafeteria for Wilton’s annual town meeting.
The town report is now posted on the town’s website: www.wiltonmaine.org on the Town Government page, Town Manager Rhonda Irish said.
