AUBURN — Margaret M. Cloutier, 94, a longtime resident of Livermore Falls, died peacefully Tuesday, May 17, at Hospice House of Androscoggin.

She was born March 25, 1917, in Livermore, the daughter of Arthur and Mary Ann (Leblond) Gervais. Margaret attended school in Livermore Falls. She worked at Livermore Falls Glove Shop, International Paper at the Otis Mill in the Beater Room, Livermore Falls Shoe, and she also worked as a seamstress for over 20 years.

On April 14, 1956, at St. Rose of Lima Church, she married Alcide Cloutier. He passed away Sept. 9, 1964. Margaret was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, and a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Jay-Livermore Falls Senior Citizens. Margaret enjoyed crafts, ceramics and traveling.

She is survived by her daughter, Renette Weller of Missouri; her sister-in-law, Yvette Cloutier of Livermore Falls; and her nephews and nieces, Marc, Laurier, Ronald and John Turcotte, Michelle Greenlee, Daniel, James and Rick Desjardins, Richard Gervais, Claire Deshaies, Raymond, Roger, Rene, Reynald, Rita and Jeannette Cloutier, Louise Tardiff and Lorraine Real.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Ralph and Laurier Gervais; her sisters, Yolande Turcotte, Rita Desjardins and Yvonne Shuman; and her nephew, Normand Cloutier.

The family would like to thank the staff at CMMC, Clover Manor Nursing Home and the Hospice House of Androscoggin for the outstanding care and support to Margaret and her family.
