Scott Guzman, right, of Acton and Craig Saddlemire of Lewiston talk at the Lewiston Public Library on Wednesday about the pedal-powered generator that Guzman built. Guzman is in Lewiston for two days during the Ciclovida Lifecycle tour of the Eastern United States. “Ciclovida Lifecycle” is a narrative documentary film that follows two Brazilian farmers as they traverse South America by bicycle on a mission to rescue natural seeds “that can reproduce on their own and that are not genetically engineered,” said filmmaker Matt Feinstein. Guzman designed and built the bicycle-powered generator to power each film projection. The film will be shown at the Bates College Muskie Archives at 7 p.m. Thursday. A hands-on workshop about Guzman’s system will be held at 2 p.m. at the Muskie Archives.
