AUBURN — This year’s Hospice House 5K Race & Remembrance Walk will take a new route, beginning and ending at Central Maine Community College.
The run/walk, scheduled to begin at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, May 22, will take participants from the college, turning right on Turner Street to Gracelawn Road. They will continue up Gracelawn Road, turn around at Mt. Auburn Avenue, and return down Gracelawn Road, turning left on Turner Street and continuing back to the college.
Gracelawn Road will be closed to all traffic from 8:45 to 11 a.m.; the southbound side of Turner Street from the college to Gracelawn Road will also be closed. Motorists are asked to use caution as hundreds of runners and walkers navigate the route.
