LEWISTON – Kareen Ann Poulin Clohosey, 77, formerly of Somerset Street, Rumford, died Tuesday, May 24, at the Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Rumford on June 29, 1933, a daughter of Alphey and Doris DeWitt Poulin, and graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford, Class of 1951.

Kareen was a communicant of St. Athanasius – St. John Church. She enjoyed her flower gardens, rug braiding, knitting, and loved spending time with her family, which she did until the last days of her life. Her family was her pride and joy and she left a legacy of love in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She was married in Rumford on Oct. 23, 1954, to Howard Justin “Jutt” Clohosey who died in Auburn on June 27, 2008.

Survivors include daughters Jennifer Sylvain and husband, Rick, of Owego, N.Y., Rhonda Richards and husband, Kenneth, of East Wilton, Justine Higgins-Barrette and husband, Allen, of Sanford, Christine Clohosey, of Saco, and Miss Karri Clohosey, of Topsham; grandchildren, Diana Peselman and husband, Alex, of Newton, Mass., Leah Sylvain, of Newburyport, Mass., David Sylvain, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Aerica Girard and husband, Marc, of New Sharon, Justin Richards, of East Wilton, Jeffrey Richards, of Rangeley and Patrick and Liam Higgins, of Sanford; and two great-grandchildren, Giselle and Mia Reselman, of Newton, Mass.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband; six brothers; four sisters; and a grandchild. She will be missed by everyone, including her cat “Owen.”
