LISBON FALLS — Gloria E. Hewes, 52, of Lisbon Falls passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, May 23.

She was born Sept. 9, 1958, in Portland.

She graduated from Lisbon High School in 1977. On May 12, 1982, she married Leo Hewes. In 1993, she started Grampa’s Garden with two partners, along with being a stay at home mom, and home schooling their two daughters. She was a member of The Pathway Vineyard Church of Lewiston. She enjoyed doing crafts, going for long walks, hiking, or just being outside on their farm El Shaddai acres, she loved lawn sailing, working in her garden, being with her family and had a very special love for her grandchildren and valued the precious time spent with them.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 29 years, Leo Hewes; daughters, Lynn Hewes of Lisbon Falls and Stacie (Hewes) and her husband, Dudley Daley, of Bowdoin; her parents, Andrew and Phyllis (Fowler) Ring; four grandchildren, Emma DeForest, Joshua Hewes, Caleb Daley and Abigail Daley; four sisters, Gail Burbank, Marie Ring, Susan Ring and Julie Huckabey; and two brothers, Alan and Bradley Huckabey.

She was predeceased by her father, Ernest Huckabey; and a sister, Shelley Ashcroft.
