POLAND — Kids from the local Modern Woodmen of American Youth Service Club recently worked together to raise funds to help their community. As part of the organization’s Matching Fund Program, the kids helped at a spring sale. The project raise $1583 to benefit Poland Food Bank.
Modern Woodmen matches money raised by the club up to $500, so the local club’s donation totaled $2,083.
The Poland club is one of approximately 800 youth clubs nationwide that provide young Modern Woodmen members with opportunities to volunteer, be patriotic, learn new skills, make friends and have fun. Club members donate more than 300,000 hours of volunteer service each year. The Matching Fund Program offers club members the chance to show their support of a community cause or an individual in need by holding fundraisers.
