During the month of June the Oxford Hills Rotary Club is passing the hat at every meeting to raise money to send to Joplin, Mo. The club agreed to match the members’ donations up to $2000. The membership hopes to send off a total of $4000 to the tornado victims.
Money collected will be sent to the Joplin Missouri Rotary Club to be used directly for disaster relief.
To help folks in Joplin, send donations to Oxford Hills Rotary, P. O. Box 14, Norway, Maine 04268. Checks may be made payable to Oxford Hills Rotary. The Joplin club is a 501c corporation, so for tax purposes you might make your check out to the Rotary Club of Joplin.
Your Oxford Hills Rotary club also sponsors locally the high school students of the month, several scholarships, the food pantry, Christmas for Kids, Christmas for Teens, the homeless shelter, Special Olympics, Camp Sunshine, May Day play day and many other causes.
