DIXFIELD — Town police have been awarded an OUI deterrent grant from the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety.

The High Visibility Impaired Driving Enforcement grant will allow officers to step up their periodic OUI patrols and establish occasional impaired-driving enforcement roadblocks from July 1 through Sept. 5, officer Eric Bernier of the Dixfield Police Department said.
