FARMINGTON — Players for the Maine Red Claws will hold a free basketball clinic for children of all ages Wednesday at the Dunkin’ Donuts on the Wilton Road.
A series of summer clinics provided by some Red Claws players and supported by Dunkin’ Donuts shops throughout Maine begins with the Farmington clinic Wednesday at 636 Wilton Road. The clinics take place from 10 a.m. to noon.
The fundamentals of basketball, games, hoop shots and prizes are part of the two-hour clinic, Lindsay Strout, shift leader at the local coffee shop, said.
The clinics are offered free to children. They can just stop by to see some of the Red Claws players without taking the clinic, she said. A tent is set up beside the Dunkin’ Donuts shop in the Mt. Blue Plaza.
During the rest of the month and into August, the two-hour clinics are offered at Dunkin’ Donuts throughout Maine including Auburn, Lisbon Falls, Poland and Bartlett, N.H.
