AUBURN — Phyllis T. Curtis, 90, of Auburn died on Tuesday, July 5, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin.
Phyllis was born in Auburn, March 25, 1921, the daughter of Henry and Gladys (Chase) Tolman.
She was educated in Danville and Auburn schools and was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1940.
She married Charles F. Curtis on Nov. 25, 1941. They were married until he died on April 29, 1988.
She is survived by three children, Paula Curtis Everett and her husband, Michael, of Auburn, C. Peter Curtis and his wife, Cheryl, of Palmer, Alaska, and Pamela Curtis Parkes and her husband, Kim, of Great Diamond Island; four grandchildren, Andrew Hiss and his wife, Lisa Tarchak, of Interlochen, Mich., Katherine Hiss and her husband, Jaime Pelletier, of Auburn, Will Curtis of Anchorage, Alaska, and Hannah Curtis of New Brunswick, N.J.; five great-grandchildren, Maddelyn Butts, Keegan and Alliyah Pelletier and Tess and Josephine Tarchak-Hiss; a sister, Virginia Hyam of Auburn; two sister-in-laws, Priscilla Pulsifer and her husband, Aidy, of West Paris and Barbara Eveleth of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Charles Tolman of Danville; and a sister, Evelyn Moore of Danville.
