RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Shirley Ann Martel was celebrated Thursday at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. James Martel was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Prior to the Mass, “Danny Boy” was sung, during the Mass music selections were “I am the Bread of Life,” “Because the Lord is My Shepherd,” “Ave Maria” and “Fly Like A Bird.” The first reading was proclaimed by her son, Paul Martel, the second reading was proclaimed by her son, Peter Martel. A reception followed in the parish hall. Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home.
