LEWISTON — Norrine Stevens (Waterhouse) Wilkins, died peacefully on July 12, at Montello Manor.

She was born in West Poland, Aug. 18, 1915, the daughter of Archer F. and Florence Stevens Waterhouse. She began her education in Poland schools and graduated from Gould Academy in Bethel in 1937. She married Ernest C. Wilkins in May 1941, and they resided in Auburn and later Lewiston.

Norrine was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed practicing her homemaking skills. During retirement, she traveled to Florida, California, and Prince Edward Island. She enjoyed music and dancing, and was particularly fond of butterflies and penquins. Her family was very important to her and she always looked forward to visiting with her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sister, Jane Torrey of Montello Heights, Lewiston, formerly of East Poland; 12 nieces; eight nephews; several grandnieces and nephews; and many great-grandnieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their thanks to the dedicated staff at Montello Manor.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest C. Wilkins; her twin brother, Norwood Waterhouse; brother, Archer Jr.; and sisters, Clara Edmondson and Helen DeCoster.
