MONMOUTH — The Theater at Monmouth will present “Blithe Spirit,” a comedy by renowned playwright Noel Coward, opening at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 22.

“Blithe Spirit” follows novelist Charles Condomine as he organizes a seance with the slightly batty Madame Arcati in order to gather material for his next book. His plan goes comically awry when he is visited by the ghost of his first wife, Elvira.

Additional shows will be presented on July 23, 24 and 28; and on Aug. 3, 6, 7, 11, 17 and 19. Tickets are $26 on opening night; all other shows are $24 for adults, $22 for seniors and matinees, $20 for students. For tickets, call 933-9999 or visit www.theateratmonmouth.org.

A reception will be held after the show when audience members can enjoy complimentary food and drinks, and an opportunity to meet with the director and cast members.
