NORWAY — Kristin Benedix, executive director at The Progress Center, 35 Cottage St., Norway, announced the following promotions, reassignments and new hires to the staff at the Center:

Nancy Kitchin was recently promoted to director of community services. She has been with The Progress Center since March 2010 as manager of case management services. She is a graduate of Johnson State College.

Shonna Adams has been with The Progress Center for six years and was recently promoted to director of residential services. Prior to this new position, she was the house manager at the Karla Jacobson Home. Her new responsibilities include overseeing residential services, shared living and home supports.

Ashleigh Barker has been promoted to supervisor of case management. A graduate of the University of Southern Maine, she was a case manager prior to her new position.

Cherie Wilson, Sue Bone and Kathy Brown are now house managers at the three residential homes operated by The Progress Center.

Wilson  has been with The Progress Center for 15 years, most recently as a DSP/CRMA at the Karla Jacobson Home before becoming the house manager at that facility.

Prior to becoming the house manager at the Spring Street Home, Bone, a nine-year employee, was the home supports manager.

Brown, a five-year employee at TPC and former manager of community supports, is the house manager at the Frederick Avenue Home.

Gary McPherson, a three-year employee of TPC, is the new manager of community and employment supports. In his new position, he will be managing the Community and Employment Services.

Laurie Phillips has accepted the position of quality manager and training coordinator for The Progress Center. She has served in many capacities during her nine years at TPC.

Maureen Bilodeau and Miranda Ward have joined The Progress Center. Bilodeau, a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, is a children’s targeted case manager, while Ward, a graduate of the University of Southern Maine, is a community case manager working with adults.
