SOUTH PARIS — Oxford Hills/Buckfield Adult Education has a program that makes it easy to take high-quality, noncredit online courses. Adult Education has partnered with ed2go to offer hundreds of online, instructor-led courses and has announced the launch of “Introduction to Guitar.”

Participants will learn to play the guitar step-by-step with the help of hands-on exercises, audio and video recordings, and detailed illustrations. By the end of the course, they’ll be able to read music, play notes and chords and add expression and artistry to their music. The classical guitar skills they’ll master will enable them to play any style of music, from hard rock to country-western.

The course is part of Oxford Hills/Buckfield Adult Education’s growing catalogue of more than 300 instructor-facilitated online courses. Through lessons, online instruction and interaction with fellow students, participants gain knowledge at their convenience.

They have the flexibility to study at their own pace combined with enough structure and support to complete the course. And they can access the classroom 24/7 from anywhere with an Internet connection.

New sessions of each course run every month. They last six weeks, with two new lessons being released weekly (for a total of 12). The courses are Web-based with comprehensive lessons, quizzes and assignments. A professional instructor facilitates every course; pacing learners, answering questions, giving feedback and facilitating discussions.
