AUBURN — The fifth annual Bob Boucher Memorial 5K Run/Walk will take place at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at St. Dominic Academy.

Boucher was a long-time teacher, coach and athletic director at St. Dom’s. He taught and coached young athletes to championship levels. He had a 25-year career as hockey coach, capturing five state titles. He was voted Coach of the Year five times. He coached the varsity soccer team for 16 years, also winning championships, as well as starting the lacrosse team and the golf team.

Boucher was inducted into the Lewiston-Auburn Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. He was also inducted posthumously into the St. Dom’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication to the athletic program while at St. Dom’s. 

The race was started to keep his legacy alive by supporting athletics which Boucher did his entire life.

To register for the run/walk, contact the alumni/development office at 782-6911, ext. 2108 or 2109. Registrations will also be accepted the day of the race. The cost to register is $15, or $20 the day of the race. Cash prizes will be awarded.
