PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — The average retail gasoline price in Maine has fallen 7.9 cents per gallon in the past week to $3.70 per gallon.

Price-watching website MaineGasPrices.com says Sunday’s average was 8.2 cents per gallon lower than it was a month ago, but still 95.6 cents higher than the same day one year ago.

Analysts say consumers benefitted after oil prices dipped dramatically two weeks ago. But prices rebounded last week, which may limit relief at the gas pump.

Nationally, the average gasoline price fell 4.7 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.60 per gallon.
