LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul on Monday for Georgette G. Richard. Monsignor Marc B. Caron officiated assisted by Deacon Irenee Richard, brother-in-law of Georgette, who also recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. The reading of scripture was done by Ali Breault and prayer of the faithful was presented by a nephew, Ron Guerin. The sermon and eulogy were given by her brother-in-law, Deacon Irenee Richard. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Georgette’s daughter, Rebecca Buckley, her daughters-in-law, Christine Richard and Nicole Richard and her granddaughters, Courtney Desmarais and Melissa Richard. Words of remembrance were shared by her daughter-in-law, Nicole Richard. Bearers were Georgette’s sons, Lucien and Steve Richard, her grandchildren, William Desmarais and Michael, Nathan and Jacob Richard and her son-in-law, Aaron Buckley. A reception followed at the Shipyard Lounge at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. A service of the Fortin Group Funeral Home Cremation and Monument Services.
