FARMINGTON — The Healthy Community Coalition will provide health services and information from its Mobile Health Unit from noon to 4 p.m. every Tuesday afternoon at the  Walmart.

Staff will resume the health outreach service on Aug. 30 and continue each Tuesday through Oct. 25.

Visitors can receive a free ScoreHealth screening, which is a health-risk assessment tool that includes a cholesterol and blood pressure check and information about changes one can make to improve health. The ScoreHealth session may include nutrition and physical activity counseling, tobacco dependency counseling, and stress management information.

Residents are also invited to stop by for a quick blood pressure check, a physician referral, or to chat with staff. Personnel can provide residents and visitors with information about the many services that Healthy Community Coalition and Franklin Community Health Network provide in the region.

These services are made possible though funding from the United Way. All visits are weather permitting and cancellations will be announced on WKTJ radio at 99.3 FM. For additional information, contact the Healthy Community Coalition at 779-3136.
