DIXFIELD —  For the fifth year, Countryfolk Music Theatre will close its summer season on Labor Day Weekend with a famous entertainer look-alike contest. This year, it’s Elvis.

Past winners include Bob Rivard of Leeds as Willie Nelson; Jim G of Livermore Falls as Dick Curless; Sally Daniels Latham of Norway as Dolly Parton; and Paula Kaiser of Fayette as Minnie Pearl.

Three judges will be selected from the audience. The winner will receive $20.

“Our closing Countryfolk Sunday of country music, Sunday, Sept. 4, on Labor Day Weekend , will be a one-day celebration of all the musicians and volunteers who contributed to the 12 years of music here in western Maine,” said Larry Bisbee, operator of Countryfolk Music Theatre.

Besides the contest, there will be a potluck meal, country music and a cookout at the end of the day.

Countryfolk Country Sundays continue through Labor Day Weekend, from noon to 6 p.m. They are free and geared toward families. Donations support Countryfolk’s annual youth music scholarship awards. For more information, call Bisbee at 645-4411.
