DAMARISCOTTA — The September meeting of Maine Media Women will feature a talk by Caroline Janover on memoir writing. The meeting will take place Saturday, Sept. 10 at Mobius Center, 319 Main St., Business Route 1.

Janover will share techniques for transferring foggy memories into stories that can be preserved for posterity.

Janover has taught the very popular courses on memoir writing offered by Maine’s Coastal Senior College. Her background includes working in public and private schools with children with learning and attention issues, and she has written several books for children and young adults including “How Many Days Until Tomorrow” and “JOSH: A Boy with Dyslexia.”

MMW was founded in 1951 as Maine Press Radio and Television Women. Members meet to exchange ideas and to offer mutual support and professional recognition for women involved in all aspects of communications including writers, graphic designers, artists, editors, publishers, photographers, videographers, advertising, marketing and public relations professionals, communications educators and specialists in print and electronic media.
