Turner resident Sheila Richardson, who paints in oil, acrylic, watercolor and charcoal, will be SugarWood Gallery’s featured artist of the month for September. An open house reception will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, and again on Saturday Sept. 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 248 Broadway in Farmington. Refreshments will be served. Richardson especially enjoys painting scenery, animals, trees, barns and flowers. She has shown her work in art shows in Portland, Turner, Norway, Farmington and Hallowell; and has exhibited at art venues, including the Atrium Gallery at Lewiston-Auburn College. She has owned A Women’s Touch, an interior wallpapering and painting business for more than 16 years. She has art on display at the Turner Village Crossing Building in Turner.
