NEWCASTLE— Bo McLain ignited a 23-shot attack with a first-half goal to point Lincoln to a 3-1 boys’ soccer win over Oak Hill Friday.

Sawyer Pinkham and Devin Scherer each added tallies for the Eagles (1-0). Merritt Wotton turned aside four shots to earn the win.

Jamiel Kidd netted the lone Oak Hill goal with Dalton Burns picking up the assist. Sam Morin made 15 saves for the Raiders (0-1).

Leavitt-Medomak Valley tie, 1-1

WALDOBORO— Ben Ramser’s goal with 17 minutes remaining in regulation lifted Leavitt to a 1-1 tie with Medomak Valley in boys’ soccer Friday.

Ramser collected the ball at midfield from his sweeper position before splitting the defense and blasting a shot from 20 yards out past Medomak Valley keeper Robbie Griffin (10 saves).

Brandon Soper scored the lone goal for the home team. Ben Fullerton stopped nine shots in goal for Leavitt.
