GREENE — Singer-songwriter Larry Irwin will present a program of folk and original songs on Friday, Sept. 9, at the Araxine Wilkins Sawyer Memorial.

Voted Maine’s Best Solo Performer in the mid-1980s, Irwin left the music business behind so he could spend less time on the road and more time with his family. This year marks his return to his musical roots.

Irwin, who blends the music of Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell into his shows, will perform at 2 and 7 p.m. at the memorial at 371 Sawyer Road. Admission is free. Doors open one hour before shows. For more information, call 946-5311 or visit www.sawyer-foundation.com.
