MECHANIC FALLS — One of Maine’s stand-out country musicians and an honorary member will be inducted into the Maine Ole’Opry on Sunday, Sept. 25, at the Silver Spur.

Country music legend Rusty Rogers will perform the inductions.

Entertainment will be provided by Maine Ole’Opry members Bob Elston, Jewel Clark, Bonnie Rairdon, Bobby Reed, Dennis Doiron and Bobby Le. Guest performers include Gloria Jean, Dennis Moro, Elton Record, DeeDee Record Allen, Bill Giasson and Dennis Moro.

The house band will be Bobby Reed and the Wildhorse Band.

The Maine Ole’Opry was started in 2005 to give recognition to today’s country performers and to entertain the public. It is incorporated under the Pine Tree State Country Music Association, a nonprofit whose sole purpose is to promote country music and country music artists in Maine. The association holds an annual competition, Country Sundays, award shows and benefits for food pantries, fuel programs and U.S. troops; and provides the Dick Curless Memorial Scholarship.

Tickets to the opry show, which begins at 1 p.m., will be $7 at the door. For advance tickets, $6, contact Joan Cole at 490-12323 or joancole@myfairpoint.net; Mary at 247-4611; or Ken at 356-3117. Tickets may be held at door.
