Dale and Maranda

AUBURN — The wedding of Maranda Freeman and Dale Chase was held on July 2 in front of the water at the home of the couple at Taylor Pond in Auburn. Officiating the ceremony was Deborah Tempesta, the bride’s aunt.
Mrs. Chase is the daughter of Susette DelSanto and stepdad, Keith of Lewiston and Kevin Freeman and stepmom, Leona of Niceville, Fla. The bride is the granddaughter of Lucien and Charlene Pelletier of Oxford. Mr. Chase is the son of Amber Atchinson of South Paris and grandson of Norma Atchinson of South Paris.
Jammie Pelletier was maid of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Jenni Jenkins, sister of the bride, and Jocelyn Lahey, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Tyler McLaughlin, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Doug Wilson, Joseph Bailey and Andrew Bailey, all brothers of the bridegroom.
Flower girl and ring bearer were the couple’s children, Rylee and Cole Chase.
The bride was escorted down the aisle and given away by her grandfather, Lucien. She wore a strapless ivory gown and carried a bouquet of white roses and blue hydrangea.
A beach-theme reception followed also at their home, with hydrangea, decorations, favors and cake in hues of blue, all coordinating the theme. After all pictures were taken, the bride and her bridesmaids plunged into the pond and took the bridegroom in with them. The rest of the evening was enjoyed around a campfire with family and friends.
The couple will be taking their honeymoon in September.
